MONTREAL—January 26, 2023—Prime Video is proud to announce its first Francophone production with Juste pour rire TV/ Just For Laughs Television, Pour un Soir Seulement (4x60). Premiering February 10 on Prime Video in Canada, the new Amazon Original comedy series sees the crème de la crème of French-Canadian comedians—Mariana Mazza, Dominic Paquet, P-A Méthot, and Rachid Badouri—offering viewers a once-in-a-lifetime, curated-comedy experience. Filmed in venues across Quebec, the series presents comedians in four off-the-wall themed episodes with live audiences, bringing together a total of 25 comedians to display their talents.
The first episode sees comedian Rachid Badouri—fresh off his time on Prime Video’s hit LOL: Qui Rira le Dernier? — invite viewers to put on their finest clothes and join him as he renews his vows in a chic wedding venue in the heart of Montreal’s Old Port district. He is joined by his closest friends and comedians: Eddy King, Philippe-Audrey Larrue-St-Jacques, Jessica Chartrand, Emile Khoury, and Mike Beaudoin.
Then, live from the Hôtel-Motel Coconut in Trois-Rivières, experience all the kitschy sights and sounds of a Tiki bar tropical retreat with Dominic Paquet. The second episode features frozen cocktails, vibrant aloha shirts, and red-hot performances from Mélanie Ghanimé, Réal Béland, Maxim Martin, Mélanie Couture, and Alexandre Barrette.
Next, P-A Méthot transports viewers into his secret society, gathering at the sumptuous and mysterious Morrin Centre in the heart of Old Quebec City. Join Cathy Gauthier, Billy Tellier, Yannick De Martino, Mathieu Cyr, Silvi Tourigny, and Pascal Cameron as they reveal their most private observations during this exclusive, invite-only evening, where no jokes are off the table.
In the last episode, wrestling fan and comedian Mariana Mazza invites viewers into the ring at Les Foufounes Électriques in the heart of Montreal for a knockout evening of comedy. Together with Dave Morgan, Katherine Levac, Simon Delisle, P-O Forget, and Korine Côté, she creates Mazza Mania V, a show where spandex, wrestling stunts, and hilarious antics collide.
Pour un Soir Seulement is created by Juste pour rire TV/ Just for Laughs Television with Benoit Cyr and Emilie Corriveau, and produced by Francoise Poirier and Julian Tissier. Directed by Christian Lalumière, the series is executive produced by Marina Di Pancrazio and Patrick Rozon.
